jcrew summer sale.

J Crew summer sale!

Thanks to my mother, a good sale gets me excited!! It's more fun to shop if I feel I'm getting a good deal, but sometimes I do wonder... am I purchasing this top because I LOVE it, or am I getting it because it's only $10??  I have been told I have a talent for sale shopping-haha. I know when to buy or when to wait because more than likely, it will get marked down next week.  Banana Republic, J Crew and Anthro are my go to stores, but I try not to shop them unless I have coupons or a sale is going on. Because I am a Luxe member at Banana, Gap, Piperlime etc.  I earn reward points and get $10 or $20 rewards in the mail to use like cash.  To me it's more fun to save and get several new items, instead of spending $79.50 on one top! So the trick is, find that item you must have, wait for it to get marked down to 40% off, use a $20 coupon or wait for a super sale which has items already marked down and then take an additional 30% off of the sale price.  It's like you are practically getting that expensive top for free!  This is what happened to me yesterday at J Crew...everything I pulled (except the yellow stripe)  was already marked down and then I received 30% off of sale price in addition to an extra 15% on top of that with my teacher discount...So exciting!  Here's what I found....  I can wear them now (if I'm not outside for long) and also in the August for back to school.  My classroom is usually freezing cold so sleeves and layers are a must!

So how could I resist a "staple" item likes these white and navy whisper linen cardigans.  They were regularly $59.50 then marked down a couple times to $19.99 and then I received 45% off of that!  So they cost me $11.89 and because they're linen and light, I can wear them year round!

J Crew had so many fun colors of shorts to choose from...one of my favs right now is mint green, but they were out of my size, so my next two choices were these lilac and neon orange/coral chino shorts!  They're a 5" inseam and are very comfortable.  The shorts were regularly $45 and I got them for $17.84!

I have been eyeing these crochet lace-front 3/4 length sleeve tees for awhile now and was happy that it went on sale!  The top was regularly $59.50 and I bought it for $23.79.  At the counter I was then tempted to get a necklace to make it a complete outfit...it was $35.00 and I paid $11.89.  I definitely do not ever pay full price for jewelry!

My one item that I bought that wasn't marked down was the yellow and white striped sailor boatneck tee.  Regularly $45.00 and with the 45% off it came to $25.08...pretty good price for J Crew. :)  I am going to wear it with the lilac shorts and nude wedges tonight for my date with Trey!

Total savings =$218.00
So hurry and stop by your nearest J Crew before their summer sale ends!!  Always lots to LIKE!
P.S. no need to add up the total, mama :)
